The facilities of Eagle Lake Bible Camp (ELBC) exist to glorify God and extend His kingdom. Our mission is to help all who come to ELBC to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ, being aware of their sin and the forgiveness that is
available through Jesus Christ. This is done by providing formal Bible teaching, personal Bible study, worship and
informal interaction in a godly atmosphere.
User agreement:
I/We agree to…
- Concerts and for-profit organizations will provide certification of Insurance, required by the day of the event. Failure to provide insurance will result in cancellation of use of facility without any further notice.
- Pay the required deposit upon approval of booking. (Booking will not be considered confirmed until
the deposit is received ($800 deposit – $400 is non-refundable). Please make cheques payable to
Eagle Lake Bible Camp. - $400 of the deposit will be refunded if notice of cancellation is received in writing 60 days prior to
rental. - Pay the rental fee in full no later than two days prior to the date of the event.
- Be responsible for all setting up and cleaning up as per instruction and supervised by the Camp staff.
- Take responsibility for actions of all guests and participants using the facility.
- Insure that adult supervision is present at all times.
- Have read, understood and agree to abide by the facilities use guidelines.
- That the information provided is accurate and true.
To this end, ELBC will allow its facilities for use according to the following guidelines to promote the purposes of ELBC:
- To honour Jesus Christ in all activities.
- To worship Jesus Christ through exalting, glorifying and praising God the Creator and Saviour.
- To encourage campers and staff to be willing to yield to the discipline and correction of Jesus Christ through the
Bible and the Holy Spirit. - To teach the infallible Word of God as the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
- To evangelize. This involves making disciples, ministering to the physical needs as well as the spiritual needs of
campers and staff. - To teach and live according to the principles as written in the Bible, and as declared in the ELBC handbook and
Statement of Faith. - To promote Christian marriages as a lifelong covenant between a natural born man and a natural born woman
for the purpose of companionship, encouragement, sexual intimacy and procreation. All other sexual activity is
prohibited.
Prioritizing of Facilities use for ELBC
- All events and activities that are under the full authority, control and supervision of staff or volunteers of ELBC.
- All activities of the Blumenort Community Church and its related organizations (Evangelical Mission Church,
Vermillion Bay). - Other charitable Christian groups with similar purposes.
- Not-for-profit organizations that by word and deed support and endorse the ELBC Statement of Faith and the
charitable purposes of ELBC. - Neutral activities such as family gatherings, birthday parties and events by other organizations that are not
activities that can be categorized as being Bible Camp events will be considered if the activities of the event do
not contravene the Statement of Faith and handbook of ELBC.
General Policies of ELBC
- The first use of the facilities of ELBC shall be for the ministries, programs and activities of ELBC and its affiliated associations.
- July, August and September are reserved for the ministry of ELBC. Openings during this period can only be booked 60 days in advance. October through June can be booked 6 months in advance.
- All activities of all users of the facility of ELBC shall not conflict with the purposes and beliefs of ELBC Statement of Faith and handbook of ELBC.
- The use of ELBC facility for a wedding will be permitted on a mutually acceptable date where a wedding adheres to the definition of marriage as stated in the Statement of Faith and the ELBC hand book as being between a man and a woman.
- All officiating ministers or marriage commissioners must be approved by the Camp Board to be theologically in agreement with the Handbook and Statement of Faith of the ELBC. Facilities will not be booked until approval is given.
- The man and woman wishing to be married are required to take pre-marital counselling sessions.
- All neutral activities such as family gatherings, birthday parties, anniversaries or wedding receptions will be considered based on availability at the standard fee.
- ELBC reserves the right to consider rental of the facility to neutral organizations that neither agree nor disagree with our statement of Faith.
- All for-profit activities will be considered on an availability status at the standard fee. See number 2.
- Serving alcohol will be prohibited on these premises, and there will be no smoking on camp grounds or buildings.
- Decorations must be approved by a Camp Representative.
- Extreme sports activities must be disclosed before any rental agreement is signed. Then the appropriate insurance coverage must be obtained and submitted.
- The kitchen with commercial dishwasher, coffee perk and propane stove may only be used providing that an appointed kitchen supervisor is trained by the camp staff and present.
- An ELBC designated supervisor must be present at all times or satisfactory arrangements for security made with the ELBC ahead of time.
- All electronic equipment, including sound system, projectors and computers, owned by ELBC must be operated by a camp appointed technician.
- Each user group and renter is responsible for the behavior of their own guests and participants.
- Any damage done to the camp buildings or property by guests and participants will be the responsibility of the renter.
- All renters will arrange for their own food, beverages (no alcohol) and serving.
- All events must have adult supervision at all times. Minors may not rent Eagle Lake Bible Camp.
Facility and Equipment Use:
- All inquiries, scheduling and arrangements for use of the facilities and equipment must be made through the
camp office. - All damage or broken items are the responsibility of the rental party and must be reported to the camp office.
- The standard of cleanliness is to be returned to the condition you found it in or better.
- No pets allowed please – service animals are allowed.
- All garbage must be removed and put into the garbage shed.
- All linens (dish towels, hand towels) are to be laundered at camp and returned to appropriate storage.
- Setup and clean up of tables and chairs is the responsibility of the person(s)/group renting the facilities. Please
make sure all equipment including tables and chairs are returned to their original location. - ELBC owned equipment may only be used if arranged and approved and then returned to their appropriate
storage places. - Moving of any accessories must be declared and approved prior to the event.
- The fireplace must be operated by a trained adult supervisor and cleaned out prior to departure.
Disclaimers:
- Rental by any group does not mean that ELBC endorses the beliefs and practices of the rental group.
- If information provided in the rental agreement is found to not be accurate, the event may be cancelled without
notice or while in progress with no refund. - The party renting the Eagle Lake Bible Camp facility waives all legal liability against Eagle Lake Bible Camp for any and all bodily injury, abuse or property damage arising out of the rental party’s operations and activities.
- The party renting the facilities of Eagle Lake Bible Camp indemnifies and saves harmless Eagle Lake Bible Camp;
volunteers, staff, employees, board members and guests against all claims, actions, costs, expenses or demands, including legal fees in respect of breach of contract, death, injury, loss or damage to person or property resulting from the rental party’s event.
